    This intense, evidence-based, six-day course is designed for physical therapist, occupational therapists and MDs with experience treating patients/clients with vestibular deficits. It is the same course as the one held annually at Emory University in Atlanta. The course will include written, video and practical examinations.  It is recommended that participants have experience treating people with vestibular deficits and or have completed a previous vestibular course.     Sitting Cx Segmental Mob.jpgThis course is intended for physical therapists with experience managing patients with  dizziness complaints, but who wish to improve their knowledge and skill in the differential diagnosis, manual examination and intervention in patients whose dizziness has a cervicogenic component. The neurologic therapist treating patients with vestibular diagnoses will learn to manage coexisting musculoskeletal impairments, while the orthopedic therapist will learn to manage dizziness due to non-musculoskeletal causes.     This hands-on lab course is aimed at clinicians who are treating patients presenting with complaints of dizziness and/or balance problems.  The participant will be able to differentiate between central and peripheral vestibular patients, treat those who are appropriate and refer those who are not. Lecture material is provided in a self-paced online course (provided by Educata.com) that is a prerequisite for attendance at the live lab course.
